Heading to back Madison Square Garden for the Sergio Martinez vs. Matthew Macklin fight...

I've had some mixed experiences recently at the Garden.  Back in October, it was flat-out frustrating to watch Nonito Donaire try to knockout a purely defensive Omar Narvaez.  However, in December I was treated to a thrilling rematch between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito.  I expect this fight to be somewhere in the middle of the spectrum in terms of entertainment value.

Bottom line is that Macklin will be game, but Martinez is on another level.  I see Sergio winning this by a wide decision or knockout.  However, I just did a quick check of the odds, and it looks like Martinez is favored 10 to 1.  Because of this, I'd recommend taking the under 9.5 rounds or Sergio by KO.

I know a lot of folks are pointing to Sergio's relatively uninspired performance against Darren Barker as a sign of slippage or losing his edge.  I would disregard these opinions--multiple sources point out that Sergio did not take that fight seriously.  I doubt he would make the same mistake twice.
